Backstage News On Jay White Signing With AEW

On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Juice Robinson and Jay White attacked Ricky Starks to start the show. It was later announced that White had signed with the promotion. 

White had been a free agent after finishing up with New Japan Pro Wrestling. White had interest from both WWE and AEW. He recently lost a ‘Loser Leaves Japan’ match to Hikuleo, followed by a ‘Loser Leaves NJPW’ match against Eddie Kingston.

It was reported earlier this week that there was no talk about White within WWE, leading to doubt that he was going to WWE. 

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted White decided to sign with AEW despite WWE being after him.
