Backstage News On Dana Brooke, Baron Corbin, & Mustafa Ali Appearing On WWE NXT

Fightful Select has provided some backstage updates on the recent appearances of both Baron Corbin and Mustafa Ali on WWE NXT.

WWE sources suggest that there have been plans for some time to have Corbin and Ali appear on NXT, which was why both men have been labeled as free agents of late.

According to the report, “despite a lot of things from the previous regime that made that cynicism around the free agent tags understandable, there was more of a plan for them this time.”

Ali had been directly requested by at least a few NXT stars and was apparently quite willing to volunteer to work with them.

The main factor contributing to the choice for both Corbin and Ali include the cultivation of attracting more fans to NXT, the chance to evaluate their NXT opponents and allies, giving both men a refreshment phase, and to finally provide NXT talents the experience of working with main roster stars. The same goes for Dana Brooke on the women’s side.

Brooke, Corbin and Ali will reportedly continue to appear on NXT with the option to perform on RAW and SmackDown as necessary.
