Backstage News On AEW’s Health Protocols At Dynamite

Pro Wrestling Sheet has talked with several sources that were backstage at AEW’s Dynamite taping last night, and they’ve revealed what the company did to try to ensure the safety of their performers and staff.
As AEW personnel got to Daily’s Place, they were tested at the door. This was a general medical exam to ensure they were in good health and not specifically a coronavirus test. This is similar to tests performed by WWE at their shows starting last Friday. Talent could only practice in the ring and use promo areas and catering in waves, and talent was kept apart backstage.
This wasn’t the case on camera, as the two crowds of wrestlers watching the show were very close in their seats. AEW announced a Lumberjack match for the next episode of Dynamite, which would also raise concerns about congregations of wrestlers around the ring. With the next taping currently up in the air, we’ll have to see if that match is reconsidered by AEW’s booking team.
