In the course of last night’s episode of SmackDown, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and her principal opponent, Charlotte Flair, dove into some personal territory during their promotional segment.
Stratton highlighted Flair’s record of three unsuccessful marriages, post her divorce with Andrade. Flair retaliated by making a remark about Stratton’s real-life partner, Ludwig Kaiser, alleging that he had been privy to sending her discreet messages.
An update has been provided by Pwinsider concerning both women straying off-script during their promotional interaction.
From multiple sources, it came to light that the segment did not adhere to the initial plan, indicating that the personal comments made by Flair and Stratton were not scripted.
Added to that, WrestleVotes revealed that both women adhered “scarcely to what was written in the rundown for them” and frequently deviated “off-script.”
The aftermath of Flair appearing to “outshine” Stratton in a previous SmackDown interaction is believed to have provoked Stratton’s comment.
Few speculated that Stratton fought to regain attention from a Stratton-leaning audience in Chicago. Others opined that the segment eventually went downhill, yielding no significant gains for either side.
A number of individuals also reportedly observed that the audience response caught Flair off guard, amplifying the impact of Stratton’s insults.
