Austin Theory Announces That Johnny Gargano Will Miss NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day

The card is always subject to change, and it seems that one of the major matches for WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day has been delayed.
NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano was set to face KUSHIDA at the pay-per-view, but in a video posted on Austin Theory’s Twitter page, Gargano’s protégé announced that Johnny TakeOver will be unable to compete on Sunday.
“I just left Johnny John John’s house, Mr. TakeOver, Johnny Gargano, and I can’t hold this in anymore,” said Theory. “Johnny’s out of TakeOver. That’s right. NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, Johnny will not be there. And it’s all because of you, KUSHIDA.
“You know, I’ve always got a smile on my face, but it’s time to be serious. It’s time to be serious. I’m not playing around. Tomorrow night on NXT, KUSHIDA, you will pay. Not cash, not credit, or debit. You will pay from an ass-whopping from Austin Theory, and that is the way.”
In the video, Theory vowed to get revenge on KUSHIDA on this week’s episode of NXT.

WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day will air on February 14.
