Cody’s Nightmare Family is adding a few more seats to the table. The enigmatic grandson of a plumber has tweeted out an intent to bring in multiple new members to his group that’s half stable and half a rough collection of cornermen for TNT Championship matches. First on the docket is Lee Johnson, a 22-year-old prospect that’s wrestled consistently on Dark since appearing in AEW in April. Johnson has yet to rack up a win, but his tune might just change with Cody, Arn, and the rest of the family behind him.

Sky is the limit for this 22yr old prospect!

He’s put in the time and effort at the @NF_Training – he’s ready to take the next step in his career. A winning step. He will have all the tools at his behest now.

The second induction into the family is a family affair. Billy and Austin Gunn, also known as the Gunn Club, have been staples of AEW since its inception, often screaming from the sidelines during the shows in 2020. Billy has also gotten in the ring with one or more of his sons and shown a tenacity that defies his years of experience in the ring.

I’m thrilled to welcome this Father/Son true tag-team to our mix.

Billy is an absolute legend and a world class professional both on camera and BTS.

It’s unclear if these announcements mean that Lee Johnson is signed full time to AEW. He was brought in alongside many other talents for the pandemic episodes of AEW Dark, and several of those talents have ended up with deals. Considering Johnson’s long run on the YouTube show, it’s clear that AEW officials are happy with his work, and this could be the next step for a performer with nothing but potential.
