AEW referee Aubrey Edwards recently spoke on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, discussing her experience officiating the AEW Women’s World Title bout between Mariah May and Toni Storm at the All In event in London, 2024.

Highlights from the podcast include the following:

On her most memorable officiating experience: “Whenever I’m asked about my favorite match to referee, several come to mind. But, the bout between Toni Storm and Mariah May at the recent All In event was truly exceptional.”

On the significance of the match: “The importance of that match wasn’t just about the in-ring action or the backstage preparations, it was a monumental moment for everyone involved. It symbolized a culmination of many events leading up to that point. Regardless of who won the title, the crowd reaction, and everything else, it held deep significance for us.”

During their recent appearance on the “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, AEW World Tag Team Champions, Private Party, comprised of members Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy, shared their experiences about receiving salaried contracts from AEW after their performance at Fyter Fest 2019. Here, they competed in a thrilling three-way tag team match against The Best Friends and SoCal Uncensored.

Podcast highlights:

Isiah Kassidy on discovering about AEW’s salaried contracts: “I was completely unaware that AEW offered bigger contracts. Initially, I thought our first was the grandest one. The whole experience was quite new to us. After our stellar performance at Fyter Fest against SCU, and Best Friends, we were offered a salaried contract as soon as we got backstage.”

Marq Quen’s response to the contract offer: “I was simply astounded. I had never made significant money in wrestling before, so hearing about a salaried contract was a bit of a surprise.”

Isiah Kassidy on receiving their first salaried contract: “Receiving our first salaried contract was overwhelming. I expressed my gratitude to the Bucks and Tony Khan. I called my mother immediately and told her about our achievement.”

Marq Quen’s conversation with his mother: “I recall asking my mom about the specifics of the contract. Upon telling her the details, I remember her breaking down in tears of joy, which made me realize the gravity of the offer.”
