Athena triumphed and snatched the title from Mercedes Martinez during the ROH Final Battle 2022 pay-per-view event, which happened on December 10, 2022. Subsequently, she has successfully defended the title at both ROH and AEW events.
This whopping 600-day stretch is the longest reign by any ROH Women’s World Champion, surpassing all previous title-defending durations combined.
In the recently concluded Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor 2024 pay-per-view event, Athena successfully defended her title against Queen Aminata.
