Witness the crowning of a new United States champion! In a surprise turn of events at WWE SummerSlam 2024, LA Knight triumphed over Logan Paul to seize the title.
Although he enjoyed a home advantage, Cleveland’s own Paul’s gymnastic abilities and aerial maneuvers were inadequate against Knight’s grit and extensive track record. Even with the assistance from Machine Gun Kelly, who provided a pair of brass knuckles to Paul for use on Knight, Knight managed a critical BFT that led to a decisive pinfall just a few moments later.

Initially, Paul claimed the title by defeating Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023, and successfully defended it twice (at Royal Rumble and WrestleMania XL against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton). In a notable achievement, Paul’s title reign spanned an impressive 273 days, landing him among the top 20 for all-time combined days and the #7 single reign all-time record (ranked third if we consider only WWE title reigns while excluding NWA and WCW stints).
This champion belt marks Knight’s debut major accomplishment in the realm of World Wrestling Entertainment, his only previous accolade being a temporary possession of the Million Dollar Championship during his journey in NXT.
