The landscape of NXT has shifted dramatically with “All Ego” Ethan Page emerging as the new NXT Champion after a robust performance in the Fatal 4-Way main event at NXT Heatwave 2024.
The high-stakes contest featured current champion Trick Williams, who previously had bested Page at the NXT Battleground pay-per-view. Other competitors included Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans, the victor of the 25-man battle royal, thereby securing his shot at the coveted title.
Capitalizing on the champion’s vulnerability, Page managed to secure the title via pinning The Young OG. As Evans took the fall and not Williams, there is potential for a future rematch between Page and Williams, possibly at the upcoming NXT Great American Bash scheduled for August 6th.

Interestingly, despite the gravity of Page’s victory being arguably the most significant event of the night, it was not the closing note of the pay-per-view. The broadcast ended on a speculative note, cutting to a footage of TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry facing the camera in a way reminiscent of his entrance theme video. His sudden appearance was met with intrigue as announcers chose to withhold naming him.
