In a recent interaction with SportsKeeda, WWE wrestler Matt Riddle had a few interesting revelations to make about a certain encounter with Bret Hart at a WWE live event. According to Riddle, The Hitman didn’t exactly acknowledge the presence of both him and Damian Priest.
Remembering an encounter that he and The Hitman shared at a catering, Riddle said, “I end up at this catering table with Bret Hart and I’m beyond thrilled. But instead of behaving like an over-eager fan, I thought I’d ask him a few questions. What was surprising is that Bret didn’t respond to either me or Damian Priest, who was with me at the time. We were accompanied by a few lovely ladies and we engaged them in a casual conversation about their work and experience. But, Bret didn’t ask me or Priest anything, we were mostly silent.”
When it came to Hart’s longstanding issues with legendary wrestler Goldberg, Riddle had a few thoughts to share as well. “Goldberg has publicly stated that he never intended to harm Bret, but the latter seems unable to let go of the grudge. While Bret has every right to his feelings, holding onto grudges particularly isn’t something that sits well with me. We all have had unpleasant experiences and heard false things said about us. What’s important is to not let that deviate us from our path and continue to do what’s right.”
Having said all of this, Riddle doesn’t seem to be too bothered by it all. He’s firm in his belief that “The cream always rises to the top.”
