Asuka Wins Triple Brand Battle Royal, Faces Bayley At SummerSlam

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw a triple brand battle royal take place, and in a shocking turn of events, Asuka came out as the winner, and will now face off against Bayley for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.
A surprise entrant in the ring, Asuka joined a handful of superstars in a battle royale that was as chaotic as possible. Towards the end, however, it was down to Asuka and Shayna Baszler, and in a wild end, Baszler threw Asuka over the ring, but she was able to land on both Sasha Banks and Bayley who were at ringside. After climbing back onto the side of the ring, Asuka then turned the tables, flipping Baszler over the ropes and onto the ground, winning the match. Now, she’ll face off against both Banks and Bayley in respective matches at SummerSlam, and have the chance at walking out of the pay-per-view as a dual champion.
