WWE Superstar Asuka has claimed that Facebook has removed the official verification on her profile, and given it to an account impersonating her.
On Twitter, the former RAW, SmackDown, and NXT Women’s Champion made her claim against the Mark Zuckerberg-run company.
“Dear Mr. @facebook
“You have previously removed my official account’s official badge as a fake. You also made my account unavailable on several occasions. My account has since been made available again. But in the meantime, you gave my fake account the official badge. Since then, the fake me has become the official me. I think Facebook is causing misunderstanding and inconvenience to many people.”
WWE Superstars have often been subject to accounts impersonating them being operated by scammers for nefarious purposes.
In 2021, Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan during Raw, who believed that he’d been scammed by the Superstar.
In fact, the fan had been tricked by an account impersonating Rollins.
Dear Mr. @facebook .
You have previously removed my official account’s official badge as a fake. You also made my account unavailable on several occasions. My account has since been made available again. But in the meantime, you gave my fake account the official badge.
