The last two Round 1 Fatal 4-Way matches of the WWE King & Queen of the Ring tournaments happened during the June 16th edition of Monday Night Raw, officially setting the stage for the semifinals.
In a battle for the queen’s title, Asuka outshone Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, and Ivy Nile in the first match of the evening. After 13 months recovering from an injury, the Empress of Tomorrow returned to the ring and pinned Rodriguez, who was previously attacked by Rhea Ripley. The assault came as retaliation for Rodriguez spoiling Ripley’s chances of winning the other Fatal 4-Way match against Roxanne Perez.

In his bid to be crowned King of the Ring, Jey Uso emerged victorious over Big Bronson Reed, Rusev, and Sheamus.
The final moments were filled with disruptions. Bron Breakker attempted to sabotage Uso, only for Sami Zayn and Penta to intervene and LA Knight attacking Reed. This left Reed open to some splashes from the former world heavyweight champion, who took the fall. After the bout ended, Seth Rollins approached to assault Uso, only to be blocked by Cody Rhodes.
