Asuka Controversially Defends Title, Rolls Up Nia Jax After Fast Count

Jax used her superior strength to get an advantage early on, but Asuka’s craftiness almost ended the bout within a minute as she locked on a flying armbar. Jax was able to break free and began to gain an edge again. This scenario, with Asuka locking up submissions that Jax would power out of, occurred several times.

The match came to a shocking conclusion after Jax put her hands on the referee and pushed him to the ground. While arguing, ref John Cone rolled up Jax and got a quick count for the win.
