Popular wrestler Giulia is preparing her big move to WWE, after lending her expertise to Marigold, STARDOM founder Rossy Ogawa’s new wrestling promotion.
In earlier news, there were reports that Giulia was scheduled to enter the WWE Performance Center around the third quarter of the year, speculating her debut wrestling match at NXT Heatwave on July 7th. A probable fight for one of the NXT Women’s Championships at the event was also hinted. She plans to maintain her wrestling name, but her current theme music might not follow her into WWE.
Dave Meltzer, a renowned sports journalist, shared some light on the matter in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“On Giulia’s situation, she definitively won’t be battling Roxanne Perez at the NXT show on the 7th of July in Toronto. Denials regarding this rumor have been circulating from her, sources in Japan and even some insiders from NXT. Giulia is currently nursing an injury, having undergone wrist surgery, and won’t be physically ready by then. She’s definitely transitioning to WWE, but her arrival might be pushed later into the year. The most probable match we can expect at the show would be Perez versus Lola Vice.”
