Recently, Aron Stevens joined the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, where he shared the backstory of his WWE character Damien Sandow, which he played from 2010 to 2016.
He recounted, “I was annoyed. Watching Rip Rogers, I came up with the idea to grow a beard and flaunt pink tights, among other things. An unqualified WWE representative, inappropriately placed in their role, made some remarks and assessed my talents. This upset Dusty. He became angry and then said ‘Alright. That’s it. This is what we’re going to do.’ So, we followed through and the rest is in the books. It’s that straightforward.”
You can listen to Aron as he talks about his experiences with Killer Kowalski, his time in OVW, Dusty Rhodes, his journey in Puerto Rico, FCW, WWE, the NWA, and much more, in the embedded video in the original article.
