Arn Anderson recalled an instance when Dusty Rhodes spoke about his son Cody’s foray into professional wrestling: “He informed me at a time when he first made his debut and was paired with [Ted DiBiase Jr.], Dusty, in our interactions, would confide in me. He would assure me with confidence, ‘He’s got the knack. The kid’s got the knack.’ He was not looking for any sort of commendation from me, he was merely stating as a matter of fact that he recognized Cody had the necessary talent to succeed at the highest level in this industry.”
Arn Anderson further commended Cody Rhodes’s diligence and determination: “In our profession, going that extra mile is a prerequisite. You need to put in more labor, you need to aspire to enhance your skills, and particularly if you’re a second-generation [wrestler], you carry the additional burden as you’re typically viewed as having been granted an easy pass.”
