Arn Anderson, an associate of Ric Flair, has voiced his support for John Cena attempting to surpass Flair’s record of 16 WWE World Title reigns. Since Cena has revealed plans to retire at the 2024 Money in the Bank, fans have been buzzing with conjectures about whether he will clinch a 17th WWE World Title.
On a recent episode of his podcast, ARN, Anderson implied that the WWE couldn’t go wrong by sanctioning Cena to break the record. His actual words were, “He’s on course for that elusive, what is it? The 17th world championship, right? In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with that decision.”
John Cena’s latest championship triumph happened during the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view where he overcame AJ Styles.
As of now, the WWE hasn’t publicized any matches for Cena’s farewell tour. Several fighters, both within and outside of WWE, have put themselves forward as potential opponents.
Matt Hardy has publicly said he is looking forward to Cena winning the 17th WWE World Title. In contrast, Booker T holds the opposite view.
