Arn Anderson On His Friendship With Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael: I’m Glad For The Time We Got To Spend Together

Even though they don’t communicate regularly, Arn Anderson still considers Steve McMichael a friend.
The former Chicago Bear and Four Horseman may have not been known for his pro wrestling prowess, but Mongo sure made up for all of that in personality and style. Arn told just as much to Conrad Thompson on the most recent episode of ARN.
“He’s a great human being I know that. He never had one day of formal training as far as being a wrestler, but what a football player and a human being he was and is. I saw him lately and he’s just one of those rare characters that just, he was as good as anybody at what he did and that was NFL football, not wrestling, and part of a special, that 1985 Bears will go down as again, look at the record books 50 years from now, greatest football team of all time. It could very well be those guys and he was a huge part of that and just a fun human being, you know and ‘all man.’ Consider him a friend, he’s one of those guys I don’t talk to on the phone, but every time I see him, I hug his neck, he hugs my neck and we were glad, or at least I was, for the time we got to spend together.”
