After delivering a brutal assault to both Big E and Shinsuke Nakamura last week, Apollo Crews made his way down to the ring during tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown, and declared himself Nigerian royalty.

Donning a new scarf and colors on his gear, Crews detailed his Nigerian heritage, before saying that he would no longer be the same old Apollo Crews that fans knew him as. It was then that he directed his anger at Shinsuke Nakamura, who had begun coming down to the ring for their match. Instead of letting Nakamura get in the ring, though, Crews assaulted him beforehand, once again attacking him with the steel steps outside of the ring before the match officially began.

During the actual match, it was once again all Crews, who showed a dominant side that we haven’t seen from him in some time. Crews closed out the match by surviving a sleeper attempt from Nakamura by using his scarf, and then landing a huge rotating slam onto Shinsuke for the first win for the new Crews.
