AEW may soon bid farewell to two prominent players who have played significant roles in bolstering the promotion’s tag team division.

The Lucha Bros, comprised of Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, are said to have generated interest from WWE as they near the end of their contracts with AEW.

According to Bryan Alvarez from F4Wonline, it’s thought internally within AEW that Penta and Fenix may move to WWE once their existing contracts come to an end.

WrestlePurists also conveyed yesterday that there is anticipation of the Lucha Bros’ projected departure, and adjustments were made to the upcoming AEW Worlds Trios Championship match set for All In: London 2024 later in the month.

It was previously noted by us here at eWn that Penta’s contract was set to end between August and September of this year, while WWE showed interest in acquiring him. Similarly, Fenix is also expected to become a free agent this year.

Since making their entry on AEW’s first show in 2019, The Lucha Brothers have been paramount to the success of Tony Khan’s promotion.
