Anthony Bowens Reveals What His ‘Five-Tool Player’ Nickname Means, Will Ospreay’s Favorite Wrestler Is?

In the 2025 edition of AEW Dynasty, Anthony Bowens returned to his former “Five-Tool Player” alias, after successfully defeating his erstwhile Acclaimed tag-team partner, Max Caster.

During the press conference that followed the show, Bowens articulated that his decision to redefine himself with the nickname symbolized a comeback to his origins in the independent wrestling circuit. His words were,

“The term ‘Five-Tool Player’ is usually associated with a baseball superstar and I am the wrestling industry’s Five-Tool Player. I embody the perfect amalgamation of strength, agility, intelligence, appearance, and the all-important X-factor. This is something I’m very excited to showcase and I trust that spectators will appreciate it.”

In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Will Ospreay revealed that his favorite wrestler in the world is none other than AJ Styles.

Here are some noteworthy excerpts from this podcast episode:

On AJ Styles: “AJ Styles, undoubtedly, is my all-time favorite wrestler. I was always a solid TNA audience, enamored by the six-sided ring. There’s only one wrestler in AEW who shares a bond with AJ … I aspire to challenge those who have shared the ring with AJ – like Samoa Joe. I have never faced him yet and I genuinely believe that he is the one who can provoke me into brainstorming not just my airborne techniques, but also standing up to him and going full force.”

About his desire to fight Samoa Joe: “I am of the belief that if you were to ask AJ, he would say that his best performances were against Joe. This was not just because of their strong friendship, but also because Joe had the ability to challenge him physically. If I wish to grow close to becoming an athlete like AJ, I must face-off against those who shaped him.”
