Anthony Bowens marked his comeback at AEW Dynasty 2025, unveiling a new walk-out song, “Underground” by Jane’s Addiction. For many wrestling admirers, this was a fresh audio experience, while music enthusiasts acknowledged it as a much-cherished track.
In the ensuing media briefing post-AEW Dynasty 2025, Bowens poured out his sentiments for the new theme, terming it “the perfect professional wrestling song.” His words were,
“Tony managed to acquire the song that I’ve always wanted as my entrance music since my college days. It was Underground by Jane’s Addiction. The moment I heard it, I was convinced that it was the ideal professional wrestling song. It suits me to a tee. I’m grateful to Tony for making it happen. With Billy by my side, my entry has now been enhanced.”
A tweet by RUKUS (@MikeyRukus) echoed these sentiments praising Bowens’ choice of entrance theme.
Adam Cole, another media briefing participant, also expressed his enthusiasm on securing the AEW TNT Championship on his 17th year in wrestling.
Find below some excerpts from his remarks during the media briefing:
Regarding his win on his 17th wrestling anniversary: Cole remarked, “I often find myself reminiscing about the most memorable moments from my career whenever there’s a wrestling anniversary. This one certainly tops the list, given the obstacles I faced over the past few years, including head injuries and a severe ankle break and subsequent recovery. On April 6th, 2008, I had my debut match in Philadelphia. Winning my first singles championship in AEW against a wrestler I deeply respect, Daniel Garcia, on April 6th, 2025, was a moment of immense pride. It’s a day I will never forget.”
Concerning any thoughts of pursuing the AEW World Championship: “Any AEW wrestler who says they don’t desire the AEW World Championship is either being dishonest or fooling themselves,” Cole declared. “Being 100% transparent, my ultimate goal is indeed to become the AEW World Champion. While I will defend and uphold the TNT Championship with pride, winning an award like the inaugural Owen Hart Tournament moves me a step closer to achieving that dream.”
