Later this month, professional wrestlers Matt Hardy and Matt Cardona are set to compete against each other at the ‘GCW Homecoming’ event. The announcement came after last night’s ‘GCW Now and Forever’ event saw Hardy go head-to-head in a singles match with Nick Gage.
During the event, GCW General Manager, Matt Cardona unleashed a critique of Hardy and Gage, claiming that Hardy was essentially too good for GCW. However, Hardy responded with an insult, praising Gage and calling him “the heart and soul of GCW.” Following the match, Hardy hit Cardona with a ‘Twist of Fate’. Later, Cardona revealed that there would be a tag team match at GCW Homecoming, where he and his teammate Broski Jimmy would face off against Hardy and Gage.
‘GCW Homecoming’ will take place at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 25.
In recent tweets, the wrestlers have revealed snapshots and comments about the upcoming events. Matt Cardona recounted how his 2021 GCW Homecoming event transformed his career and life. He expressed his determination to recover faster than expected from a torn pectoral muscle so he could return to the ring.
