Anna Jay Sidelined With Shoulder Injury, AEW Expects Her To Miss 6-12 Months

Anna Jay has been pulled from the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament.
In a Tweet on Monday, All Elite Wrestling announced that Jay requires shoulder surgery, and she’ll subsequently miss 6-12 months. The Tweet revealed that Madi Wrenkowski, an alternate for the tournament, will replace Jay on Monday night. Jay was scheduled to face Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. on Monday, but Wrenkowski will take her place.

Wrenkowski has made a few appearances on AEW Dark. She is a protégé of former NWA World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. Jay has been prominently featured as a member of the Dark Order.
Jay briefly discussed the injury in a Tweet of her own. She vowed to come back better than ever, and she thanked the fans for their support.
