Andrade El Idolo Denies Turning Down Pitch For His Return On AEW Dynamite

As we previously reported here on eWn, Andrade El Idolo was supposed to make a backstage cameo last month ahead of his return on AEW Collision.

Andrade was backstage at the May 10th AEW Dynamite tapings and was originally supposed to make an on-screen appearance. The Mexican star was set to walk into AEW President Tony Khan’s office, similar to Miro and Thunder Rosa. However, El Idolo had allegedly turned down the segment for unknown reasons.

Andrade instead filmed a backstage segment for social media on May 17 and worked out in the ring in order to prepare for his Collision return.

Taking to Twitter, Andrade apparently denied that report, writing,

“oh really!!! I don’t want to imagine what you will say behind my back!!! #ILoveTwitter”

AEW has advertised Andrade for Collision, which premieres on June 17. El Idolo will be making his in-ring return two days prior in Mexico.
