“I’ve always been a fan of Drew’s. His initial run with WWE, and then he was let go, and I was on a couple of independent shows with him over in the UK. Just a classy guy and a great performer.

“But perhaps, like Ronda Rousey previously in WWE, he may not have been cast in the best role. As a baby face, I’m anxious to see what he’s capable of as a heel. And let’s be honest, as much as I respect and like, you know, I like him. He never really, never really connected as that babyface champion. He had some things against him, his Covid era, the crowd reaction to kind of help put you up over the top and give you the credibility that a champion should have and that’s just bad timing.

“But I’m looking forward to seeing him in that heel role because he’s a phenomenal performer and he’s got the right look. He’s got the voice, he’s physical, he can perform in the ring. So maybe a fresh coat of paint will do him justice.”

On this week’s episode of RAW, McIntyre defeated Jey Uso meaning that the Judgment Day will have the advantage during this weekend’s Men’s WarGames match.

McIntyre and The Judgment Day will face Uso, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton at this weekend’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event.

Drew McIntyre’s recent heel turn in WWE has caught the attention of two-time Hall of Famer Booker T, who believes it may be the best move for the Scottish Warrior’s career. In a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T expressed his excitement for McIntyre’s new role and shared his thoughts on why it could benefit him.

Booker T has always been a fan of McIntyre, even during his initial run with WWE and when he was let go from the company. He described McIntyre as a classy guy and a great performer. However, he believes that McIntyre may not have been cast in the best role, similar to Ronda Rousey’s experience in WWE. As a babyface, McIntyre struggled to connect with the audience and establish himself as a credible champion, partly due to the challenges posed by the Covid era and lack of crowd reaction.

But now, with McIntyre turning heel, Booker T is eager to see what he can do in this new role. He believes that McIntyre has all the qualities to excel as a heel – a phenomenal performer, the right look, a commanding voice, and physicality in the ring. Booker T sees this as an opportunity for McIntyre to reinvent himself and believes that a fresh coat of paint will do him justice.

In recent events on RAW, McIntyre defeated Jey Uso, giving him and his team, The Judgment Day, the advantage in the upcoming Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. McIntyre will team up with The Judgment Day to face Uso, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton at the pay-per-view event.
