Enzo Amore, the prominent wrestling figure, has recently guested at the “Wrestling Shoot Interviews” podcast. During this, he discussed myriad subjects, among them, his potential WWE comeback and his ambition to perform promos with known celebrities such as Paul Heyman and The Rock.
Here are select highlights from the podcast:
When asked about what he expects from a possible WWE return, Amore stated, “It would be great if Paul Heyman is there waiting with a mic. Let’s offer the audience what they’re excited to see. The fact is, every time Paul Heyman crossed paths with me in a hallway, he responded, ‘Ah hah, promo for.’ If that was false, would I dare to say it on the record? I’m indeed the most sincere guy here. This isn’t a lie. This is precisely what Paul Heyman referred to me as. Promo God. If I had to choose, I would love to collaborate professionally with Heyman, who you all regard as the best at it.
Touching upon his wish for a promo sequence with The Rock, he revealed, “I’m hoping one day – it’s the inevitable. Being the best promoter of my era, facing off with the best promoter of his time, The Rock. It seems unquestionable such an event should occur. For me, it signifies the realization of my youthful aspirations. I recall having a snapshot of me meeting Dwayne Johnson backstage, and in my hands, I held his action figure, a gift from one Christmas morning.
He further added, remembering his meeting with Dwayne Johnson, “That moment when I met Dwayne Johnson backstage and showed him the image, he followed up with an Instagram post of us – that was incredibly cool. As a young boy, he was my superhero. The ultimate aim is to have your heroes transform into your competitors. So, when I consider the pinnacle of the business, I see it as my future. That’s the position I’m striving for, and I’m certainly poised to claim someone’s place.
