All Elite Wrestling Issues Statement On Coronavirus, Events Will ‘Move Forward As Scheduled’

All Elite Wrestling issued the following statement on the coronavirus outbreak, noting that all planned events will still take place as scheduled:

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

All AEW events are currently moving forward as scheduled. Of course, the safety and well-being of AEW fans, partners and talent is always our top priority, so we will continue to closely monitor the rapidly evolving situation related to COVID-19 and be guided by government officials, health organizations and venue management. AEW will update ticket purchasers if there are any changes to the event schedule, and we encourage everyone in the AEW family to be good to themselves – and each other – by taking preventative actions as recommended by the CDC and WHO.

Earlier today, New Japan Pro-Wrestling canceled several more events in March in response to the pandemic overseas. Several major events in the United States have been postponed so far, and WWE has reportedly instituted a “no contact” policy at their meet-and-greet events. WrestleMania 36 is still scheduled to take place but WWE said they are continuing to monitor the situation.

All Elite Wrestling heads to Salt Lake City, Utah this week for Dynamite, and has events scheduled in Rochester NY, Newark NJ, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Boston and Philadelphia in the upcoming weeks.
