For the last year, AEW Dynamite’s set and stage have looked pretty consistent. It’s a more low-key set up than anything on WWE TV, but it’s not without its glitz and glamour, especially whenever Cody Rhodes starts to make a grand entrance. Still, especially in times when the crowd reaction is still muted compared to what it should be, it may be time for an attention-grabbing refresh.
AEW Production VP Kevin Sullivan shared a teaser of such a refresh on Twitter. Showing a blueprint plan for what looks to be several layers of lighting rigs, it seems like AEW will be trying to make its entrances and overall production a bit different. Considering what The WWE ThunderDome has brought to the table, it will be interesting to see All Elite’s countermove, and what these new lights will actually be used for.
Off to Jacksonville today to work on cool project we have been planning for the last few months. I can’t wait to watch the go home #AEWDynamite LIVE! Also, make sure you check out #AEWCountdown to #AEWFullGear this Friday at 11et on @tntdrama pic.twitter.com/OkVGFuaaaM

AEW has been at the forefront of pushing production forward since its debut. They were the first to bring back pyrotechnics to TV presentation after years of limited use by WWE, and Revolution, their last PPV before the global pandemic, featured bracelets handed out to audience members that lit up in sync with entrances.
