Former WWE Superstar Alicia Fox has opened up about her time with the promotion and how she often struggled to identify with the characters she played on TV.
After debuting as a wedding planner for Edge and Vickie Guerrero, Fox would spend years as a Superstar before confirming her WWE exit earlier this year.
During a recent Sign-it-Live session with Highspots, Fox spoke about not identifying with her WWE character, especially her time as the manic “crazy black woman.” She said,
“One part of my career that I really struggled with is I never identified with the scripts that Alicia had to say. I never identified with the ‘crazy Black woman’. I never identified as a Team Bella girl because I’m Alicia Fox. They’ve always been plural. I am singular, you know?”
