A recent episode of the popular podcast “AEW Unrestricted” hosted a discussion with AEW broadcaster Alicia Atout about her journey back to the company.
Dedicated followers of AEW might remember this as Atout’s second tenure with the company. Her first appearance was during the groundbreaking All In and Double Or Nothing pay-per-view events.
Recently, she found herself in the midst of the much-publicized feud between MJF and Britt Baker that led to the suspension of the latter, who was an AEW Women’s World Champion at the time.
Below are some noteworthy parts from that podcast episode:
Regarding her comeback to AEW, Atout said, “It’s something we were definitely exploring last year, and around the summer leading into the early fall, we really began delving into the details. By winter, we had taken things a step forward by penning a contract, but without being too specific… The experience of participating in the first two AEW shows – All In and Double Or Nothing – and now being officially signed with the company, feels so well-rounded and incredibly surreal.”
On her much-remembered promo with Kenny Omega during All In, she reminisced, “A memorable moment was the promo I did with Omega. There were 10,000 spectators, which was the largest crowd until that time I had the opportunity to present something in front of. Their presence was electrifying.”
