Alexander Hammerstone Wins MLW Battle Riot III

Alexander Hammerstone could very well have MLW World Heavyweight gold to highlight his ’91 Hogan tan as The National Openweight Champion won MLW Battle Riot III.
Hammerstone has been at major league odds with CONTRA Unit for months and the 40-man fight culminated with him and the Von Erichs duking it out with all their infidels sans the World Champion, Jacob Fatu.
The bout came down to Hammerstone squaring off against the equally massive Mads Krugger and the two big men went toe-to-toe with shots in order to eliminate one another. They battled for about five minutes when it was Krugger who re-introduced Josef Samael’s spike into the mix. Hammerstone evaded those efforts, but found himself at the feet of Krugger. As Krugger held Hammer by the face, The Meat Castle flipped him the bird before jamming the spike into his foot. He gave him several shots with the spike before sending him over the top rope for the final elimination. Post-match, Fatu came out to confront Hammerstone, but was held back by Samael.
The story for weeks has been that the Battle Riot was Hammerstone’s only chance at going against Jacob Fatu as it was CONTRA Unit who had contractual rights to whom faced Fatu for the title. They made it clear that Hammerstone wouldn’t be considered, but this victory changes the landscape for “Your Boy Hammer.”
