Alex Hammerstone is no longer a dual champion in Major League Wrestling.

Following Hammerstone’s MLW World Heavyweight Championship victory over Jacob Fatu at the Fightland event, “Hammer” relinquished his National Openweight Championship on this week’s episode of MLW Fusion ALPHA.

To make matters even more interesting, he had to give the title to Ceszar Duran, the mastermind behind Azteca Underground, so the title could become the top prize in Duran’s pocket of MLW.

Shortly after he handed the title over, Hammerstone hinted that he thinks he can put together a team to combat CONTRA Unit, who challenged him to a match at War Chamber in order to avenge Fatu’s loss.

Hammerstone was the inaugural MLW National Openweight Champion; he won the gold on June 1, 2019 after he successfully made his way through a tournament for the belt. His Champion vs. Champion clash with Fatu at Fightland put two incredible title reigns on the line, and “Hammer” emerged victorious to win the top title in the league.
