Aleister Black Defeats Seth Rollins, Rollins Beats Him Down

This week on WWE RAW, Seth Rollins hosted a retirement ceremony for Rey Mysterio. Rollins called Aleister Black confused and offered to enlighten him. The Monday Night Messiah said that he needed to appreciate Mysterio. “Rey was chosen as a sacrifice for the greater good of Monday Night RAW,” said Rollins. The Monday Night Messiah praised Mysterio, both as a performer and as a man. To honor Mysterio’s career, Rollins presented a video package filled of Mysterio’s highlights in WWE. The uplifting video turned into a recap of Rollins’ attack on Mysterio. Rollins said, when the time comes, he’d be honored to induct Mystero into the WWE Hall of Fame. Black charged to the ring and started brawling with Rollins.

Rollins evaded an offensive onslaught from Black early on and regrouped with his disciples, Austin Theory and Murphy, at ringside. Rollins took control of the match when Murphy and Theory briefly distracted Black. The Monday Night Messiah grounded Black for a few minutes.
Rollins took Black down with a dive to the outside. Black rocked Rollins with a stiff kick, and Humberto Carrillo charged the ring with a chair to save Black from Murphy and Theory. Still, Rollins regained control of the match. Black rallied with some stiff strikes and floored Rollins with a knee to the head. Another kick rocked Rollins and Black got a near fall with a suplex.

Black countered a Frog Splash and drove Rollins spine-first into the ring post. A moonsault gave Black all the momentum, but Rollins got a near fall with a Frog Splash. Black dodged a Stomp, but Rollins powerbombed him. Black drilled Rollins with a knee in mid-air. Murphy and Theory distracted Black, but Carrillo took them out of the equation. Rollins tried to capitalize on the distraction, but Black rolled up Rollins for the win.

Rollins, Murphy and Theory attacked Black and Carrillo after the match. Rollins made Black watch while he dropped Carrillo with a Stomp. Theory and Black held Black in place and Rollins Stomped him too. “This is what happens when you want to be a hero,” said Rollins.
