In a surprising turn of events, Alberto El Patron, the famed wrestler, has been slapped with a 180-day suspension by the authorities in Tijuana, due to his behavior at an AAA wrestling occasion.

News portal Fightful shares that attendees of the event began to pelt Patron with coins. This led the ex-WWE Champion to retaliate by venturing into the crowd and hurling a chair.

His actions prompted a subsequent throw of another chair, which unfortunately injured an elderly female spectator. She was promptly rushed to a nearby healthcare facility.

The wrestling authorities in Tijuana have addressed the incident with an official note, part of which is shared below:

On March 17, 2025, at the premises of the honorable wrestling commission placed at 12421 Diaz Ordaz Boulevard, estate El Paraiso, zip code 22440, during an extraordinary assembly, with the necessary quorum, it was concluded, as per the wrestling regulations governing Tijuana, Baja California, that Alberto Del Rio shall be suspended for 180 days, effective March 17, 2025. The notice has been made available at our offices for all related procedures.
