AJ Francis, the holder of TNA Digital Media Championship, has expressed his interest in defending his title against Ricochet. This was said during his recent guesting on “The Angle Podcast”. Ricochet, a former WWE star and current free agent, is expected to move to All Elite Wrestling soon.

Francis shared high regards for Ricochet in his interview and even used a quote from Jon Cruz (also known as Serpentico at AEW) to explain his admiration for him. He said, “Stop trying to do crazy moves and start trying to get over with the crowd. You can’t make a new move, Ricochet already exists”. He further spoke about their potential match saying, “We would have an absolute banger… The way he sells, the way he moves, the moves that he does, it’s undeniable. I would love if I got a chance to defend this against Ricochet because in my opinion, there’s nobody better.”

Meanwhile, TNA Wrestling also announced that Jordynne Grace will open this Thursday’s episode of TNA Impact with a TNA Knockouts World Championship open challenge. The episode, to be aired on AXS TV, will feature a match involving AJ Francis and Rhino for the TNA Digital Media Championship, among others.

A relevant tweet from the official Twitter account of TNA sent out a reminder about Jordynne’s open challenge that kicks off at 8/7c on TNA+ and AXS TV.

In other news, the lineup for Thursday night’s episode includes matches featuring Charlie Dempsey vs. Zachary Wentz, Tasha Steelz vs. Gisele Shaw, “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. KUSHIDA vs. Jonathan Gresham, and Johnny “Dango” Curtis vs. Chris Bey.
