Jinder Mahal, a former WWE Superstar and champion under his real name of Raj Dhesi, recently provided some insight into his wrestling experiences during a sit-down with “MuscleMan Malcolm”. He discussed being one of the last people to face Triple H in the ring and shared his feelings about the match.
In some of interview highlights, Dhesi talked about his match with Triple H as being one of the latter’s final wrestling appearances. Describing the experience as exciting, he mentioned an incident about a massive crack in the arena that evening. Despite it causing seating restrictions, the show proceeded as planned.
As for his sentiments towards the match, he felt everyone involved was safeguarded. The match played out well and was enjoyable according to Dhesi. He recollected the chaos of that day when he did not have a chance to see Hunter until the intermission and most of the match was improvised in the ring.
In another podcast, “Insight with Chris Van Vliet”, AJ Styles, a current WWE Superstar, discussed the creation of his signature springboard reverse DDT move and acknowledged that it still doesn’t have an official name.
Styles explained that Dragon Kid inspired his Springboard Reverse DDT. He got the idea of implementing a backflip catch into a Scorpion Death Drop, a move associated with Sting, from watching Dragon Kid’s matches. As for naming his unique move, Styles humorously suggested it might have been called the Stylin’ DDT at some point, though it still isn’t confirmed.
