With Paul Heyman officially no longer heading up Monday Night RAW’s creative aspects, more information is beginning to come out surrounding the move. According to a post from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer on their forums, AJ Styles left the RAW brand due to clashing with Heyman.
According to Meltzer, Styles was “furious” that Gallows & Anderson – two superstars he has known for a while – were fired, and blamed Heyman for it. Meltzer went on to say that while Vince McMahon was the one who made the decision, Styles felt that Heyman could have fought for the two to stick around. Currently, Styles is the newest WWE Intercontinental Champion, having won the belt last night against Daniel Bryan.
