WWE wrestler AJ Styles has recently clarified rumors that WWE passed up on the opportunity for him to be inducted into the 2024 TNA Hall of Fame.
Previously, it was reported that Rhino and Bob Ryder were honored by being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame during the event Bound for Glory pay-per-view on Saturday night. Several other names were up for discussion during this process, with Styles and Monty Brown being among those mentioned.
The world-renowned wrestler used Twitter as his platform to clear up the confusion. On his post on Monday, he explained in his own words,
“There are rumors circulating that I had a chance to enter the TNA HOF but WWE wouldn’t let me. These are, indeed, just rumors. The truth lies in the fact that it was I who declined the offer. As much as I respect TNA, I come up with my decision not to join HOF as long as I’m still fighting in the ring. This was my prerogative.”
Currently, Styles is taking a break from wrestling due to an injury he suffered — a sprained mid-foot ligament.
“I’m still an active wrestler…I hope. I made the decision not to go into the TNA HOF, not WWE. I appreciate TNA, but I don’t want to go into any HOF as long as I’m still active. My choice.” — Tweeted Styles (@AJStylesOrg) on October 29, 2024.
