AJ Francis, formerly recognized as Top Dolla in the WWE, recently spoke about the possibility of returning to the wrestling organization. Despite his release in September 2023, Francis maintains that he has the opportunity to return whenever he wants.
Currently reigning as the TNA Digital Media Champion, Francis continues to make his presence felt in wrestling circles. He has contributed to various wrestling events, TNA Wrestling being one of his primary stages.
Discussing his career moves during his feature on “The Angle Podcast,” Francis pointed out that although he’s paving his path, he still shares connections with WWE. He pointed out his recent conversations with notables like Triple H and Paul Heyman.
In his exact words, Francis emphasized his strengths and career transformation, saying, “Yeah (I can always come back). I mean I conversed with Paul Heyman and Triple H last week. I still have connections with everyone there. However, currently, I’m navigating my own path…If you had misconceptions about me previously as just a large crew member who just stands there to appear big and serve as the muscle in Hit Row, you were mistaken then. And if you watch closely now, you’ll witness exactly how incorrect you were.”
Francis further cited his current experience in TNA, highlighting the growth and versatility in his career. He reiterated, “What greatly benefitted me in TNA is that Tommy Dreamer ensures I am given a mic every single episode. I take center stage, leading major talking sections in significant spots, and ace them because there’s no one more articulate than me, there never has been. Trust me, I need a microphone. Hand me one, and I’ll prove that I outshine everyone else you got. Anyone who begs to differ, all you need to do is stand six feet away from me, mic in your hand, and witness what unfolds.”
