Professional wrestler AJ Francis recently rebutted remarks made by Swerve Strickland concerning the release of their wrestling group, Hit Row, from WWE in 2021. During an interview on VladTV, Strickland had detailed the group’s termination, narrating how a particular group member had vehemently tried to retrieve B-Fab’s flight details after she was informed that she wasn’t required at the television recording. According to Strickland, this led to Vince McMahon reprimanding the group, and they were subsequently dismissed 15 days after B-Fab’s departure.
Francis took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a passionate rebuttal, which can be summed up as, “Apparently I was an ‘aggressive black man’ for standing up for a black woman. And I’ll be that time and time again.”
In his talk with Adrian Hernandez on the “Unlikely” podcast, Francis conversed about the ongoing tussle. He maintains that his relationship with Strickland is without conflict, expressing confusion over the narrative that Strickland put out.
Regarding B-Fab’s release, Francis detailed the sequence of events leading up to it, highlighting his role in the formation and success of Hit Row. Moreover, he passionately defended against the allegations of being ‘aggressive’, presenting his community service record as evidence of his character, insisting that their misunderstanding stems from industry stereotypes and misconception.
Francis made it clear that anyone who has an issue with him should face him directly.
