Vince McMahon was the one who created the name”The Corre”for the atrocious Nexus stable that Heath belonged of in 2010. The group included Wade Barrett, Heath [Slater], Justin Gabriel, and Ezekiel Jackson, and was active from January to June of 2011 as a spinoff of The Nexus.

Throughout a K&S Wrestle Fest virtual finalizing, Heath remembered Vince McMahon creating The Corre. He stated,

“The real story behind it is that Vince McMahon got a napkin, drew a tee shirt on it, and composed C-O-R-E. It was copyrighted. He simply stated ‘simply include another R.'”

As a group, Heath and Gabriel captured recorded WWE Tag Team Championships twiceTwo times and Barrett had a run as Intercontinental ChampionChamp
