Drew McIntyre will happily offer CM Punk a chance at the World Heavyweight Championship, in the event the pro wrestler from Scotland emerges victorious in the upcoming Clash At The Castle 2024.
McIntyre, full of confidence, conveyed his hopes and plans of clinching the title during the month’s WWE SmackDown taking place in Glasgow. He has intentions of defending his potential title against Punk, and said,
“Should he get medical clearance and I secure the title, a title match offer will be up for his taking. With his massive ego, he’s bound to accept the title match, causing a huge stir on social media. Ticket sales will skyrocket, creating an unprecedented buzz. A face-off with Punk in the ring will ensue. The bell signaling the start of our match will sound, and then I’m going to outperform him to an extent far beyond any humiliation he experienced in the UFC, after which we’ll move on.”
Punk has been off the wrestling scene since sustaining a torn triceps injury during the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble, an injury for which McIntyre claims responsibility.
The highly-anticipated face-off between McIntyre and the current champion, Damian Priest, will take place at WWE Clash At The Castle on June 15. This will be the first time a pay-per-view event from WWE is held in McIntyre’s homeland, Scotland.
