Following Daniel Bryan’s win over Jey Uso during this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, he made a promise to Paul Heyman that he would be the one to take down Roman Reigns.
During a recent appearance on WWE’s Talking Smack, Bryan spoke briefly with Heyman following his victory. Bryan called the win great, saying it was a “great Christmas” before going into his discussion on the match. Bryan said that while he may not be in first place, he’s still filled with tons of energy before every match, and regardless of his standing is not fixated on Roman Reigns.
He went on to say that his next goal is finally winning the Royal Rumble, and that should he win, he will beat Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship, because he believes he is a better fighter than him. Bryan ended things by saying that even if Reigns isn’t champion, he’ll still beat him some time down the line regardless.
