On the December 21 edition of AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland formed the Mogul Affiliates stable, with Rick Ross, Parker Boudreaux, Granden Goetzman, and laid waste to Keith Lee, effectively ending the Swerve In Our Glory team.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that AEW’s current plan is to hold off on Lee vs. Strickland and have the match at Double or Nothing in May.
In other news, Raven recently recalled his matches with Tommy Dreamer in ECW and declared that the bouts do not receive the credit they deserve.
Appearing as a guest host for The Snake Pit podcast, Raven said,
“I don’t think me and [Tommy] Dreamer ever got the true credit for our matches that we got for our program. Our program got hailed … I’d put [the feud] against any two feuds ever … the matches were spectacular too but I don’t think they ever got the full credit because of how much selling we did. Which is so anathema to the people who just like to do high spots and the people that like to watch high spots.”
Raven also called out ‘smart fans’ for demanding more ‘action’, but was surprised to know that Dave Meltzer actually praised his selling during that time although he ‘never read that.’
