In the episode of AEW Dynamite that aired on the 5th of June, 2024, a riveting match ended in favor of Mark Briscoe who was victorious over Brian Cage. This victory was significant as it opened up a slot for Briscoe in the forthcoming TNT Championship ladder match, to be held at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, aiming to fill the currently vacated position.
In the wake of his victory, Briscoe engaged in an exclusive one-on-one with Alicia Atout, which was made available digitally. Ambitious and excited, Briscoe expressed his aim of having a more successful year by winning more championships. In his element when partaking in ladder matches and regards New York City as his home turf, he expressed eagerness at the prospect of being crowned the victor of both the ROH World Championship and the TNT Championship in Long Island.
In an unexpected twist, Briscoe directly addressed wrestler Jack Perry, cautioning him about his intentions and asserting his power. He promised to send Perry “back to the jungle” and urged him not to misconstrue his kindness for a weakness.

This interview marked Atout’s first appearance in several years for AEW, having previously participated in All In event and the very first Double or Nothing back in 2019.
There is still speculation as to whether or not Atout has officially joined the All Elite Wrestling, further fuelled by her recent one-year anniversary celebration with Maxwell Jacob Friedman who showed renewed enthusiasm for being an integral part of AEW after his return from an injury.
In an update to the story, Alicia Atout shed light on her affiliation with All Elite Wrestling whilst making an announcement on X:
