A finalized TV agreement between All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Warner Bros. Discovery is on the horizon as the pre-existing contract draws to its end this year.
On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer, the show’s host, provided insights into the advanced stages of the new broadcasting agreement between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery.
In his initial reports, Meltzer noted that preparations were almost complete for the contract’s unveiling; He then confirmed that the agreement has indeed been concluded.
According to plans, the contract’s public revelation is slated to correspond with the fifth-anniversary celebrations of AEW Dynamite. However, only the existence of the media rights agreement and the participating stations will be made known initially. Complete details about the agreement will remain under wraps. In anticipation of the revelation, Warner Bros. Discovery has begun assembling promotional content.
Meltzer shared that, “The deal is done, and the [media] releases are being worked on. An announcement is forthcoming. An announcement is already done, it’s just a question of when it will be released, and it could be Wednesday. It could be a little bit later, but it’s done, okay?”
The final terms of the agreement, its financial worth and the exact Warner Bros. Discovery networks that will be involved, are still under wraps.
In celebratory fashion, AEW Dynamite will observe its fifth anniversary tomorrow at the Petersen Events Center situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
