AEW Uses ECW November To Remember Name To Advertise Shows, Vic Joseph Responds

In the bustling wrestling scene, AEW and NXT are prominent forces that have been at odds quite frequently. Each battle between them tends to spark a volley of competitive jibes and statements.

In a recent episode of AEW Dynamite that ran parallel to NXT 2300 at the former ECW Arena, it was unveiled that the string of upcoming shows scheduled for November (Collision, Dynamite, Full Gear) has been aptly titled the “November to Remember” tour.

Notably, “November to Remember” was previously a pay-per-view name affiliated with ECW. The subtle nod to the past is not dismissible as a mere coincidence.

Curiously, this isn’t the first time AEW decided to revive an old pay-per-view name. Prior to this, they held a Bash at the Beach special, before WWE reasserted their rights to this vintage WCW event name. Peculiarly, WWE appeared to have overlooked their trademark for “November to Remember.”

In a tweet, Tony Khan, founder of AEW stated: “This will be an @AEW November To Remember, and you won’t want to miss the action, either live in person at an arena near you, or on @AEWonTV on TBS + TNT! Thank you all watching Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite live TONIGHT on @TBSNetwork right NOW!”

Shortly after Khan’s tweet, Vic Joseph, commentator for NXT, subtly mirrored Khan’s claims with his commentary. Joseph noted that NXT shows would also undertake a “November to Remember” theme, after highlighting that NXT was the leading trend worldwide on Twitter.
